Terms of Use

The terms for using Foreman with your agents, your machines and your Apple subscription.

Last updated: September 2026

1. Foreman and its operator

Foreman is operated by Uniscale GmbH. These terms govern our website, mobile application and hosted account service (the Hub), together with your use of the Foreman companion on machines you control. By using Foreman you agree to these terms. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so.

2. Your agents, hardware and accounts

Foreman provides a mobile interface to supported coding agents; it is not the model provider or a replacement for the agent's own tools. You supply a compatible machine, network connection and any required agent or provider account. Supported capabilities differ by version. Only capabilities actually available in your installation are included.

A Foreman account is required for subscription-enabled remote work. Setup, existing authenticated history access and safety controls are not subscription purchases. Legacy installations may behave differently during rollout. A Foreman account does not by itself authorize access to a machine: pairing and machine authorization are separate.

Keep credentials secure, revoke lost devices and keep software updated. Use only machines, repositories, accounts and content you are authorized to access. Your provider subscriptions remain subject to their providers' terms; Foreman does not promise that a particular subscription permits third-party or unattended use.

3. Subscriptions and trials

Where subscriptions are offered, the purchase screen and Apple's confirmation show the applicable price, currency, billing period and introductory offer. Monthly and annual options provide the same Foreman access. Model-provider usage, third-party charges and hosted compute are not included.

An eligible seven-day free trial begins only when you explicitly confirm the subscription with Apple, not when you create an account or pair a machine. Apple determines introductory-offer eligibility. At the end of the trial, the subscription renews at the price shown unless cancelled in time. Without an eligible trial, payment is due as shown at confirmation.

Apple processes payment through your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current trial or billing period. Manage or cancel through your Apple subscription settings. Deleting Foreman, signing out, unlinking a machine or requesting account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Cancellation normally preserves access until the paid period ends. Refund requests for Apple purchases can be made through Apple's refund service; applicable statutory rights remain unaffected. Price changes follow Apple's notice and consent requirements and applicable law.

Purchases are linked to the Foreman account used at purchase. Restore using that account and the relevant Apple Account. Family Sharing is not supported. Contact support before deleting an account with an active subscription; recreating it does not automatically recover the old purchase binding.

4. When access ends

Without an active entitlement, Foreman may refuse new remote prompts, sessions, feedback submissions and other paid actions. It does not intentionally terminate already admitted tasks solely because the subscription expires. Existing pending decisions, stop and rejection controls, history, export and device recovery remain available, subject to normal authentication, connectivity and retention limits.

A failure to verify entitlement can temporarily block new work. Foreman does not guarantee offline execution or uninterrupted availability. Your underlying agent and files remain on your machine; cancelling Foreman does not cancel your agent or model-provider subscription.

5. Agent safety and acceptable use

Coding agents may read or modify files, execute commands, access external services and incur costs under their configured permissions. A selected working directory is not necessarily a security sandbox. Review permissions and consequential actions, maintain backups and test changes before using them in production. Generated content may be incorrect, insecure or unsuitable.

Do not use Foreman for unlawful activity, unauthorized access, abuse, distribution of malicious software, or infringement of others' rights. Do not interfere with the service, bypass another person's authorization or expose credentials through public sharing. We may restrict hosted access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security incidents or legal requirements.

6. Your content and third parties

You retain your rights in your content. You authorize the processing and transmission needed to provide the features you request, including delivery to your configured agents and integrations. This does not transfer ownership to Uniscale.

Prompts, code, images and tool requests may reach configured providers. Notifications may reveal task details on a lock screen. Explicit public sharing can publish a conversation through the agent's sharing service. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. Foreman is not endorsed by Apple or the developers of the supported agents.

The app's license is subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where applicable. Third-party and open-source components retain their respective licenses.

7. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a reliable service, but network failures, sleeping machines, upstream changes and provider outages can interrupt it. We do not guarantee a particular agent outcome, continuous availability or compatibility with every third-party version.

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory warranties, consumer remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intent or gross negligence where applicable. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for failures caused by systems outside our control or unauthorized actions you instruct your agent to perform.

8. Changes, closure and disputes

We may update the service and these terms. Material contractual changes require appropriate advance notice and any consent required by applicable law; a changed date alone does not override those requirements. You may stop using Foreman and cancel renewal if you do not accept future changes.

Contact us to request account closure or assistance with access. Closing a hosted account does not automatically erase data on your machines or with third-party providers. The Privacy Policy explains those boundaries.

Swiss law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or courts available under the law applicable to them. Please contact Uniscale first about a problem so we can try to resolve it.
